Lagos Life New Cities: Abuja & Port Harcourt Guide

The Lagos Life flight-booking screen showing economy to first-class fares to Abuja and Port Harcourt

Lagos Life is no longer just Lagos. You can now fly to two more cities, Abuja and Port Harcourt, to take new jobs, rent a place and show off, and getting there is a quick trip through Murtala Muhammed airport. Here is exactly how travel works, what it costs, and what is waiting for you when you land.

New to the game? Start with the complete beginner’s guide, then come back for the cross-country move.

Lagos Life now has three cities

The map has grown from one city to three: Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, each with its own airport, neighbourhoods and jobs. They each have a personality the moment you land:

  • Lagos 🌆 , home base. “Eko o ni baje.” The busiest city, with the most venues, jobs and players.
  • Abuja 🏛️ , the Centre of Unity. “Barka da zuwa.” Wide roads, government desks and suya at Wuse.
  • Port Harcourt 🌊 , the Garden City. “PH, we move.” Oil money, the waterside and bole and fish.

Lagos is still the main hub, but Abuja and Port Harcourt are real places you travel to, not menus. The airport in-game even teases that more AbujaLife and PHLife content is on the way.

How to travel between cities

To leave Lagos, head to Murtala Muhammed International Airport, check in, and book a flight to Abuja or Port Harcourt, then wait in the lounge and watch the jets until you land. The whole trip is quick in real time but moves the clock forward about an hour of game time. Every city has its own airport on the national carrier, Lagos Life Air:

CityAirportCode
LagosMurtala Muhammed International (Ikeja)LOS
AbujaNnamdi Azikiwe International (Airport Road)ABV
Port HarcourtPort Harcourt International (Omagwa)PHC

When you are done in another city, you fly back the same way, from that city’s airport home to Lagos.

What a flight costs

A standard economy seat runs from roughly ₦120,000 one way, around ₦121,000 to Port Harcourt and ₦155,000 to Abuja, and the price climbs with the cabin you choose and the time you fly. There are four cabins: economy, then premium economy, business (lie-flat seats) and first class (private suites), each step up costing more, all the way to over ₦1,000,000 for a first-class seat. Flying during the morning or evening rush adds a 1.5x peak surcharge, so a mid-morning or late-night flight is cheaper.

If you have made it to the Lagos Forbes list and want to travel in style, you can skip the queue and charter a private jet from about ₦3,000,000 for a faster hop, with bigger jets costing more. There is even a helicopter charter for the truly ridiculous, pure flex money. For most players, an off-peak economy seat is all you need.

Jobs in Abuja

Abuja is a government and trading town, so its careers lean on desks, markets and hospitality. The five Abuja jobs are:

  • Civil Service , Admin Officer up to Permanent Secretary, reaching ₦82,000/week (unlocks at charisma or coding level 2).
  • Wuse Market Trading , Shop Attendant up to Sarkin Kasuwa, up to ₦63,000/week.
  • Lounge Waiting , Waiter up to Lounge Owner, up to ₦72,000/week.
  • Mai Shayi , Tea Spot Hand up to Caterer to the Ministries, up to ₦70,500/week.
  • Keke Riding , Keke Rider up to Transport Union Chairman, up to ₦69,000/week.

Abuja Civil Service is the standout: a clean ₦82,000 a week at the top, higher than the Lagos version, which suits a charisma or coding build.

Jobs in Port Harcourt

Port Harcourt is oil country, and it is home to the best-paying career outside Lagos entertainment. The five PH jobs are:

  • Oil & Gas , Field Technician up to Country MD, reaching ₦96,000/week (unlocks at fitness or coding level 3).
  • Bole & Fish , Bole Seller up to Bole King, up to ₦70,500/week.
  • Ferry Work , Ferry Hand up to Waterways Boss, up to ₦69,000/week.
  • Creek Road Trading , Market Trader up to Market Queen, up to ₦63,000/week.
  • Security , Security Guard up to Security Firm Owner, up to ₦60,000/week.

Oil & Gas is the reason most players fly to PH. At ₦96,000 a week it trails only Music, and it beats every regular Lagos office job. It does need fitness or coding at level 3 to unlock, so build the skill before you book the flight.

Where to stay when you travel

You do not have to fly back to Lagos every night, you can book a short rental in the city you are visiting, for up to four weeks at a time. Each city has its own neighbourhoods, and the rent scales with how prestigious the area is:

  • Abuja , from everyday areas like Jabi out to the prestige postcodes of Maitama and Asokoro, with Wuse 2, the Central Area and Guzape in between.
  • Port Harcourt , from the Old Township and Bonny Waterside up to New GRA and the exclusive Old GRA.

Pick a cheaper district while you are just working shifts, and save the Maitama or Old GRA addresses for when you want the flex.

Is the trip worth it?

Travel pays off for two reasons: a specific high-paying job, or the flex of living across all three cities. If you want Oil & Gas (PH, ₦96,000) or Abuja Civil Service (₦82,000), the flight more than pays for itself over a few weeks of shifts. If you just want a change of scene or to tick off every city, it is a fun trip, but Lagos still has the most to see and do.

The simplest plan: build your skill to the level the job needs, fly off-peak in economy to keep costs down, book a modest rental, grind the new career, and fly home richer. As AbujaLife and PHLife grow, expect even more reasons to pack a bag.
